Messy Church Leader
Position Available beginning January 2010

An exciting new opportunity for a person who enjoys working with other people to establish, support and develop team based Christian ministry initiatives. This position will include work with children, youth and adults. A primary area of focus will be Messy Church which is a new outreach initiative of the church.

As part of our outreach to families with young children we began Messy Church in 2008. Messy Church is a family friendly event which includes a themed craft, a short teaching, some music and a meal together. We hold a Messy Church event once a month on a Saturday evening from 4:30- 6:30 pm. The intention is to build relationships with families in the neighbourhood and in the church. The Messy Church program is integrated with our existing programs in Children and Youth ministries as well as our summer Vacation Bible Camp. Although the Messy Church program will remain the first priority for this new position the job will include working with these other programs at the church.

The right person will have strong people skills (able to work with people of all ages), good organizational abilities, a solid understanding of the Christian faith and self discipline. They will be able to work with a variety of volunteers to motivate them and enable them to work together in ministry. We are offering a 1/3 time position (approximately 12-14 hours per week). Competitive salary.

You can learn more about our parish at http://www.emmanuelanglican.com/ For more information or to apply for the position please contact Sheila Craig at 905 881 8198 or echurch@ca.inter.net
